Privacy Policy

Profilyy exists to keep you invisible until you choose otherwise. This page says exactly what we hold, who can see it, and how to make it stop.

What we collect

Only what you type and upload. Nothing is bought from anyone, and nothing is inferred about you.

• Who you are: name, date of birth, gender, city, culture, languages.
• What you believe: religion, sect and how you practise. This is sensitive information, and we treat it that way.
• Your life: marital status, children, education, profession, appearance, lifestyle, and what you write about yourself.
• Your photographs.
• Your contact channels: phone, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn — each with its own visibility, hidden by default.
• Your account: email address, a hashed password (never the password itself), and your connection-credit balance and its transaction history.
• Activity needed to run the service: who viewed your profile, who asked to be introduced, and what you decided.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

We hold it to do the one thing you asked us to do: present you to people you choose to let in. Your faith and your photographs are special-category data, and we process them only because you explicitly consented when you joined — we record when you consented and to which version of these terms.

We do not sell your data. We do not advertise to you. We do not share your profile with third parties for their own purposes.

Who can see you

Your privacy tier decides who may reach your profile, and only you can change it.

• Private — nobody sees anything real about you until you approve them.
• Protected (the default) — a signed-in member who has your link sees your profile. Someone who is not signed in sees a limited preview: a couple of photos and a little of what you wrote. Never your name. Never your contacts.
• Popular — as Protected, and members will also be able to find you in Profilyy's own search when it launches. Never visible to outside search engines. You may also let any member see channels you marked "all members".
• Your contact details are never shown to anyone without your approval. Paying does not change that: consent always wins over money.

Your rights over your data

Write to hello@profilyy.com and we will act. You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, correct anything wrong, withdraw your consent, or have your account and every trace of it permanently erased.

Being honest about where we are: one-click deletion from your own settings is not built yet. Until it is, email us and we will delete your account, your photographs and your history by hand. We answer within 30 days.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. When you delete it, we remove your profile, your photographs and your identifiable records. We keep a minimal, non-identifying record of financial transactions where the law requires it.

Security, told plainly

Passwords are stored hashed and never in readable form. Access to the server is restricted. We are a small service on a single server, and we would rather tell you that than imply a fortress. If we ever discover a breach that affects you, we will tell you.

Cookies

We set only the cookies needed to sign you in and to protect forms from cross-site abuse. There is no advertising or analytics tracking on this site.

Children

Profilyy is a registry for marriage and is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to create a profile. If we learn that a profile belongs to a child, we delete it.
